I know its lat and it has been out for several years now, I’m just starting to try to catch up my Anime. Let me start by saying that if you don’t have seen this Anime yet you must!, specially if you saw the first animation, I was one of those that said why waste time in a story I have already seen and for 51 episodes!? in the end I couldn’t be more wrong I had to watch it and 51 episodes weren’t enough I wanted more.
Plain Review and Spoiler free Observations
It is a very heartfelt story, you get to love all the characters and they’re all very human and deep in their conditions, sure you have Ed and Al to root for and follow through the whole Anime, but in the end you’ll be talking about Izumi, Olivier, Roy, Riza, Ling, Father, Hohenheim, Bradley, Scar and you’ll probably forget that the Anime was about the Elric brothers to begin with jeje.
The artistic design is very much like the old animation and is very close to the Manga, the Openings and Endings however doesn’t get even close to the ones in FMA, except for maybe the first one Again by YUI , although it’s not like you’re going to want to stop to watch them, jeje you’ll want more and more of this Anime and I guarantee you’ll be skipping any Opening or Ending to get to the next episode.

What will you encounter … well you don’t get that much time focused on the Elric Brothers specially in their Childhood, but this time around you get to know why Hohenheim leaves his family, and who he is it’s shown where he’s from and how he became an alchemist. This time around the Homunculi have a few changes with Wrath and Pride but they’re gooooood, Bradley kicked ass in the first animation, but this time around he just rocks AND kicks ass.
Roy is probably one of the nicest changes, if you thought he was top in FMA you have to watch Brotherhood and I’m not saying anymore to not Spoil further, you have to see it by yourself. From the new stuff I feel the best is Olivier, what a frightening and determined woman, how she plans on the go to kill Raven and take his place just to make sure she could stop their plans is wow! and Riza must be named here aswell, she’s more deep and stronger than eve before and also it’s revealed how she’s related to the original Flame Alchemist and why Roy becomes his successor
At any rate for me it’s a must for any Anime enthusiast that respects him or herself, and if you liked at least a bit the first animation you’ll totally love this one.
