Top 10 Most Brutal Anime Characters

Violence, if done right, can push a story to be more compelling and intriguing. Often times, it does get pushed too far, but that’s why we love it. Below we have anime Character that are considered the most brutal. This list was particularly hard to do given the content but below I feel we have the best of the best. Let us kick off the list with number 10

10  Kenpachi ( Bleach )

Kenpachi sometimes contradicts his own logic in fighting. On the one hand, Kenpachi wishes to increase his own personal power. On the other hand, he conceals his strength to enjoy a fight for as long as possible. Although he thrives for battle, Kenpachi does have emotions.  Kenpachi strongly believes fun comes before working. In every battle, he tries to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible.

9  Amon (The Apocalypse of Devilman)

Amon: Known as the Lord of War, is one of the most powerful demons known. Lover to the demon, Sirene. Originally “trapped” within Akira Fudo, when Amon attempted to possess Akira, but due to Akira’s pure heart, Amon loses control and remains sealed within Akira, giving Akira complete control over Amon’s powers. He appears in the anime as a red humanoid demon with black fur and chiropteran wings on his head and back (possibly to symbolize the rivalry between Amon and Satan).

8  Guts (Berserk)

Considered by many as the pure personification of strength and will, Guts is a Byronic hero who is born as one who may be able to struggle againstcausality but who is unable to maintain it indefinitely. His childhood and adolescence in a mercenary band after being adopted by the band’s leader Gambino, and his later joining of, and departure from, the Band of the Hawk.

7  Genocyber (Genocyber)

Exactly how Genocyber was created from the bodies and souls of the two sisters remains a mystery. Although the two sisters possess strong psychic abilities, the story vaguely depicts Morgan Nguyen in the beginning trying to create a mandala to fortify his embryonic child.

In addition to possessing incredible strength and resilience, Genocyber displays extremely powerful telekinetic and pyrokinetic abilities. Given its appearance and nature, Genocyber is most likely intended to be an man-made analogy to the Angel Of Death; and possibly a warning of the terrible consequences that can occur when humans attempt to use Synthetic biology to create weapons that are beyond their control.

6  Femto (Berserk)

Kentaro Miura, OLM Digital Inc, Berserk, Griffith

Is the incarnation of Griffith as a member of the God Hand. During the Incarnation Ceremony, he is reincarnated with a human body but given unknown powers, continuing to chase his dream of a kingdom backed up by his new Band of the Hawk. Femto’s body appears as dark armor with cape-like wings on the back, with a demonic version of Griffith’s familiar hawk-beak helmet. Femto is capable of flight via his wings. He also has the ability to manipulate matter, and distort space.

5 Jubei Ninpucho (Ninja Scroll)

He is a wandering vagabond ninja who wants nothing to do but rest until one day, he got himself involved in a battle between the Hiruko and the Kimon Clan. Later, one of the Hiruko Clan members gave him a Dragon Stone in which he must give it to the light maiden, Shigure. Now he is on an adventure to give the Dragon Stone to Shigure and to protect her from both the Hiruko and the Kimon Clan.

4  Silver Lion Rigardo (Claymore)

Rigardo appears calm and composed, which combined with his raw power, allowed him to be Isley’s strongest and most efficient henchman. However, Isley reveals that he has witnessed a hidden, berserker-like side to Rigardo’s personality that only shows up in battle, which also made Rigardo the most bloodthirsty of all those in his army.

3 Kenshiro (Hokuto no Ken)

Kenshiro is also known as the Man With Seven Scars, due to the seven scars engraved on his chest patterned after the shape of the Big Dipper , as well as the Savior of Century’s End. In the manga, as well as most anime adaptations of the franchise, Kenshiro’s catchphrase just prior to an enemy’s death is “You are already dead.”

2 Alucard (Hellsing)

He fights with ferocity and often-extreme cruelty, rarely shooting to kill until his target has been totally disabled and humiliated. However, he does seem to have some small shred of humanity left in him, as he is still capable of shedding tears, taken by Alexander Anderson to mean that he is not completely lost. As he is essentially immortal and invincible, Alucard is very egotistical as well. He freely taunts and belittles his opponents, often allowing them to inflict seemingly fatal wounds before healing himself and obliterating his enemy. One of his favorite methods is allowing himself to be blown to shreds before simply flowing back together.

1 Lucy  (Elfen Lied)

Lucy hates humans mainly because of how she was alienated by her human peers as a child, several of whom she eventually killed after they captured a puppy which Lucy had been caring for and beat it to death in front of her. Consequently, she discounts non-diclonii, claiming they are not real people, to the point of telling Nana that she has “not killed anyone yet”.[2] She seems to lack empathy and kills without much concern as a usual first reaction, often killing on reflex. She is incredibly sadistic, severing limbs and blinding foes, leaving them to bleed to death rather than killing them outright.
